Merida's Coronation

Merida's coronation was held at Magic Kingdom on May 11. It was advertised as a Limited Time Magic event, so I assumed that meant everybody was going to get an equal chance to watch it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was an area in front of the castle that was roped off for people with special passes (Mom bloggers). All other guests had to stand behind ropes. I got a spot on the right side of the castle, right behind the rope, which was near the walkway to Fantasyland. There was tons of empty space so I thought that eventually the rope would come down and they'd let us up to watch. Too bad that never happened. I was so far back that I could barely see, I couldn't get any pictures, and I could barely hear it. At the end, they dropped the ropes from the other side, so Merida could pass by, and those people were lucky enough to be able to get some pictures of the very end. A while later, the Princesses came out to do a photoshoot. I got some pictures of them from behind and when they went back into the castle.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. It felt as though it was a private event and I think that Disney should have just done the coronation before the park even opened. I can't understand why they advertised it as Limited Time Magic yet only certain people actually got to watch it.

Merida rode in on Angus and was followed by a band.

This was my lovely view.

This was a picture that I took on my phone and it shows some of the empty space.

Limited Time Magic - Cinco de Mayo

As part of Limited Time Magic, the Three Caballeros were out for meet and greets in Mexico at Epcot. It was so nice to see Jose and Panchito out again. It was also nice to meet them for the first time. I actually met them twice in the same day because they were so cute and fun. The first time I met them, I got so many hugs and kisses from all of them. Jose and Donald got into a "fight" over me, lol. Jose was kissing me and then Donald had to, but then Panchito came in between them to give me a hug. I just wish the CM that had my camera would have taken some pictures of the interaction.

They also had some entertainment in Mexico. I wasn't going to bother watching it but I was sitting on a bench and the Marionetas had come out, so I thought I'd go over and watch. I'm so glad I did. The show was really good. I was hoping to share a couple videos I took of them but my memory card isn't working properly and I can't transfer them to my computer.

May The 4th Be With You!

As part of Limited Time Magic, a May The 4th Be With You event was held at Hollywood Studios. They had a bunch of Star Wars characters out during the day. A lot of the characters were roaming characters and did not have lines. They each had an attendant but they didn't seem to do much other than stand back and watch and make the occasional announcement that there were no lines and it was basically a free for all. Some of these characters really needed lines. I heard two adults get into it while trying to meet Leia and I really thought they were going to get into a fight.

A lot of the roaming characters got swarmed by people. They'd take a few pictures and walk away. (I don't blame them because they are just doing what they're told.) It was difficult to get pictures with them. You pretty much just had to shove yourself up to them before somebody else could. Thankfully, I spent most of the day with somebody so we were able to get pictures. I was also able to meet nine characters that I had never met before; Zam Wessel, Stormtroopers, Greedo, a Clone Trooper, a Jawa, a Tusken Raider, R2MK, Kit Fisto, and Mace Windu.

On my way out, I wanted to check out the dance party. It was absolutely insane. It was basically Darth Goofy surrounded by hundreds of people while trying to dance.
