Happy Halloween

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Pluto are appearing at Camp Minnie-Mickey in Halloween costumes. It was nice to see Minnie in a new dress. I wish they'd get new costumes every year. I also wish they'd bring out more characters in costumes. They do it at the other parks so I don't understand why they don't do it at Disney World. The characters at Camp Minnie-Mickey will be in their costumes through Saturday.









Duffy is also in his pumpkin costume at Epcot.

New Gazebo in France

A new gazebo has been built in France. It is on the far right and it is Aurora's new meet and greet location.

Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz debut at Hollywood Studios

Ralph and Vanellope started making appearances today at Hollywood Studios and they were very popular. They started at 10:30 and I got on line at 10:00 and by the time they came out the queue was almost full. They were both great but I really loved Vanellope. She was so cute and had some really great poses.

Day Report 31 - Magic Kingdom - June 2012

I left my house around 7:15, got to the TTC, and only the express monorail was running so I had to take that even though I normally avoid taking the monorail whenever possible. I got to Magic Kingdom at 8:40 and watched the Welcome Show.

Temporary Character Spot

The Character Spot at Epcot has been closed for refurbishment and will reopen in February. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto have been moved to a temporary Character Spot. It's in the same building as the Character Spot. Goofy has been moved to the front of the park, taking over Stitch's location, and Donald meets in Mexico.

I arrived before opening and went to the Character Spot and waited less than five minutes.

I rode Journey Into Imagination and The Seas With Nemo and Friends. Both were walk-ons.

Day Report 29 - Hollywood Studios - June 2012

Somehow I managed to pull into the parking lot at 7:40. I went and got some pictures of the Stormtroopers and Boba Fett.

Princess Location Changes

Now that Belle has been moved to Enchanted Tales With Belle, Aurora has taken her place in the Town Square Theater. Snow White has also been moved. She now meets next to City Hall.

I don't know why they put such an ugly picture of Rapunzel on the sign. I don't even know where they found such an ugly picture of her.

Ariel's Grotto

Ariel's Grotto has opened in the new section of Fanasyland. It is located past the Journey of the Little Mermaid Ride.




The wait time sign was not working.


They had CM's standing outside the grotto holding a sign with the wait time on it.


The queue is located in a cavern.. It was pretty warm in there so I can't imagine waiting in there on a hot summer day. When you enter the queue, you keep moving up until you get to a CM. The CM will ask how many are in your party and then he'll send one group in at a time to meet Ariel.

I saw these lights on the ceiling as I was waiting for my turn.




Ariel is sitting on a clam shell. You get to sit next to her to have your picture taken with her. Just don't trip on the bottom part like I did.
