I was watching Muppet Vision 3D before 8:30.
I went and got on line to meet Chewbacca. I got on line a little after 8:30 and he wasn't due to come out until 9:30. I really don't know why they don't get the characters out earlier. Then it started to rain, which meant Chewbacca couldn't come out yet. He wound up coming out fifteen to twenty minutes later than scheduled.
I got on line for Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Goofy not knowing who would be out. Mickey came out first and I met him.
After I met Mickey, I got back on line and was able to meet Minnie.
After I met Minnie, I got back on line and was able to meet Donald.
I asked if Goofy would be coming out next and I was told Mickey would be coming out and then Goofy. It started to rain so I stood under cover for a while. The rain had let up so I went and got on line because Mickey's time had passed and Goofy would be coming out next. Well, it started to rain harder. I sat under a planter, which offered me a little coverage. It started to rain even harder. I left the line and went under the hat. I sat there for at least an hour and a half as the rain poured down. During that time, they made an announcement that the Star Wars motorcade was cancelled.
I finally decided to buy a poncho so I could go do something. This was the first poncho I had ever bought at Disney. I don't know how I managed to go eight years without ever needing one. I walked to Darth's Mall and just missed meeting Princess Leia and C3P0. I did manage to get some pictures of them though.
I was told that somebody (they didn't know who) would be out at 2:15. I sat for a little bit and then got on line at 1:45. I was glad that I got on line when I did because it just kept getting longer and longer. Luke Skywalker came out and I met him.
I asked who would be out next and was told that Princess Leia would be out around 2:50. I got on line at 2:45. I'm glad I got on line when I did. Leia came out, about ten minutes later C3P0 came out to join her, and when it was almost my turn, R2D2 came out with them.
I decided to leave Darth's Mall since it had stopped raining. I got a pretzel at a cart by the great movie ride and sat at a table by the Commissary to eat it since it started raining again.
I waited around to see if Goofy would be out when it stopped raining. Mickey came out. So, I went to see if Queen Amidala would be out. It was around 4:00 at that time. I was told they didn't know when she'd be out. Well, I finally met her at 6:45. It rained for most of that time, so I stood under and umbrella talking to a Cast Member. It stopped raining a little before 6:00, so I don't know why they didn't bring her out earlier. I would have gone and done something else but all I wanted to do was take pictures of the characters and they're not out in the rain.
I went and got some pictures of other characters and decided to leave.
As I was walking down Hollywood Blvd., I remembered that I didn't buy the Star Wars Weekends travel mug that I wanted. I went inside a store and they actually had it so I bought it.
